Warner to Host Senior Scam Seminar

HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) is inviting area senior citizens to a Senior Scam Seminar on Friday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Connellsville Area Senior Center. 

“Scammers are constantly looking for new ways to take from the honest, hardworking people here in Fayette County and across the Commonwealth. Sadly, our senior population is often the primary target of these criminals,” Warner said. “This event will help give older residents the opportunity to arm themselves with tips and information to be sure they don’t fall victim to the latest scams.”

A representative from the PA Office of Attorney General will be on hand to educate senior citizens about protecting themselves from fraud and making sure they know who to call if they are concerned about their safety and well-being. While there, seniors can also get help with Do Not Call list verification and sign-ups.

The senior center is located at 100 E. Fayette St. in Connellsville.
